Rachel Stein is an artist and art educator based in Baltimore, Maryland. She received her BA in Art & Design and Art Education from Towson University. Inspired to continue in the momentum of creative growth, she is currently working towards her MFA in Studio Art at Maryland Institute College of Art.
The core of her art practice deals with her relationship to the natural environment. She presents modern environmental concerns through a juxtaposition of the body, the landscape, and man-made materials. She invites the viewer to analyze their personal association to objects and to question the object’s placement in the natural environment - and by extension, their own personal impact.
